Welcome back to Free Fiction Friday!
Sorry that this wasn't a 12:01 even though it's been done all week. Been rather sick for the last few days (I had to watch over the In-School Suspension kids this week, meaning I was stuck in a very small room with bad ventilation for several kids who were obviously sick), so I've been pretty wiped out.
Those of you who visited the TQ Social on my b-day have already read this, but I wanted to post it here to make officially part of FFF.
If you're new to Free Fiction Friday, you're kind of in luck, since this is the first installment of Chuck the incubus's story. However, there are two other stories for you to read if you're interested, namely "The Line of the Hunt" and "Dead In The Water", which you can read by clicking on the "Free Fiction Fridays" tag.
Anyway, here's the opening, I hope you enjoy it.

I honestly don't know how I did this.
I felt like crap today, and it was like my mind came together in a moment of perfect clarity, and suddenly the entire story laid itself out before me, and I laid down about 4500 words in about three hours. I know for a fact I'll never be able to do that again.
Regardless, welcome to the conclusion of "Dead In The Water"! It's an extra long section this week, mostly so you guys wouldn't be stuck waiting for an epilogue. :) This won't be the final story for James by far, but I certainly hope you've enjoyed going on this adventure with him. If you'd like to read an already completed story starring James, please check out my blog for information on Lightning Rod.
I'll probably be taking next week off to work on Richard and Chuck, but if Chuck's story comes quickly, I might have a post for you guys. I wouldn't count on it thought, as I'll also be gearing up for my TQ social day on the 1st, which also happens to be my b-day.
that_guy_media and I have considered doing a special episode of Reader Mail mondays where we'll take questions from the Social crowd that days, with the questions being read aloud by an Official British Person for the broadcast. If you're interested, stay tuned for more details.
If this is your first visit to Free Fiction Fridays, then you're in for a treat! No cliffhangers or waiting, it's all right here! Just click on the "free fiction fridays" tag below to read both FFF pieces, "The Line Of The Hunt" and "Dead In The Water".
Also, please check out fellow Free Fictioneer,
id_locke and her continuing novel she's posting online!
Without further ado, please enjoy the conclusion of "Dead In The Water"!

Welcome to this week's edition of Free Fiction Friday!
I'm honestly surprised I was as productive as I was this week, considering I've been subbing the last three days. I pretty much made myself sit at the computer when I'd get home and not get up until the work for the day was done. I hope it came across alright.
This week's edition is a little longer than normal, and next week's will be quite long as well, as it'll be the final chapter of "Dead In The Water". After it's all wrapped up I might take a week off to brainstorm for the next story, which will star Chuck the Incubus, but I don't know yet. I think Chuck's been itching to have his story told. Depends on how the words flow.
As of this posting, I only have one confirmed Free Fictioneer for this week,
id_locke, but there's a chance that another author is starting up this week. If he's ready, I'll update the entry with a link.
I'm also pleased to announce that I'm trying to finagle authors A.M. Jacobs and Cassandra Gold (vocalist for The Fine Erotica Wordsmiths, I might add ;) ) into joining the Free Fictioneers, and they have shown a bit of interest. Are you at all interested in joining up? Can you post at least 1,000 words a week of new fiction for free on your blog? Doesn't have to be erotica, or gay, or sci-fi fantasy, can be whatever you want as long as it's fiction, free, and not illegal to post. :) I think Free Fiction Friday is developing into a great way to get introduced to new writers, new styles, and I've made a lot of new friends doing it too. If you want to join up, or just want more information, drop me a message either on LJ, e-mail me at vaughndemont at yahoo dot com, or just leave it in the comments.
As always, if this is your first visit to Free Fiction Friday, you can get caught up by clicking the "free fiction fridays" tag, and reading all of the entries.
Without further ado, please enjoy this week's edition of Free Fiction Friday!

Welcome back to Free Fiction Friday!
Sorry about the week's hiatus, but I really needed the recharge. Here's hoping that this week's chapter was worth the wait. :) The story's moving right along now, and I suspect that this novella has about 2 more parts left in it, maybe three.
As always, please check out fellow Free Fictioneer
id_locke as well, as she's got a serialized novel going for the next twenty weeks or so. :) I'm also pleased to announce that I have confirmed a third author for Free Fiction Fridays, who will be beginning his story next week. I'll have a link for you when it's live. :)
Also, once there's enough authors involved in the project here, would you guys be open to joining a Free Fiction Friday community? I figure it'd be a nice way to have everything in one place, save a little time for the readers so they don't have to go digging through f-lists. :) Drop a comment or a private message if you're interested.
And again, as always, if this is your first visit to Free Fiction Fridays, just click on the "free fiction fridays" tag below to help you get caught up. :)

Welcome to Week 17 of Free Fiction Friday!
I honestly didn't think I was going to make 12:01 this week. I've been pushing through a mini-block for the last four days, so as a result this week's chapter ran over by about 600 words.
If you're new to Free Fiction Friday, just click on the "free fiction friday" tag and that should take you to where you can catch up. :)

Still need more questions for this week's Reader Mail Monday, so feel free to send those in as well! :)
Anyway, without further ado, please enjoy this week's edition of Free Fiction Friday!

Welcome to Week 16 of Free Fiction Friday!
Yet another 12:01 post. This is turning into a regular habit for me. I think the new writing schedule I worked out is really helping here. Going to be looking a file hosting site once this story is done so you guys can just download .pdfs of the FFF stories without having to read through all of the entries. :)
Also, it's looking like this week is going to be an NSFW episode of Reader Mail Mondays, so if there's anything sordid you want to ask, feel free to ask, the questions will be anonymous, so either leave them in the comments, or e-mail them to vaughndemont@yahoo.com :)
As always, please check out my fellow Free Fictioneer

Welcome to Week 14 of Free Fiction Fridays!
Updates!
House of Stone:
Richard's story has passed the 30k mark and still going strong. Depending on the ending lenghth, I MIGHT consider querying this around to a couple agents, just test the waters before I make the rounds with the e-publishers.
Reader Mail Monday: Still looking for questions! Like I said, nothing's out of bounds, really, but due to YouTube's 10 minute limit I don't have much for each show. (I know about Dailymotion, but I like keeping it to 10 minutes, that way you guys don't get sick of me as fast. :) ). Send any questions to vaughndemont@yahoo.com
Tip Jar: I know it's kind of a crappy thing to beg for money, but between FFF and now RMM (which I love doing, don't get me wrong), it's a lot more work, and with the employment situation here, donations would really REALLY help. Like, buying food help. I know it's crappy to ask, but if you want to donate to support Free Fiction Friday and Reader Mail Monday, please click on the donate button on my blog page (
vaughn_r_demont ).
Free Fictioneers:
Please take the time to check out
id_locke, and I have received word that another author will be joining the ranks, and will be posting probably next week. I'll have a link when it happens. :)
If you're new to Free Fiction Friday, just click on the tag below for "free fiction fridays" and you'll be taken to a page where you can get all caught up.
This week's entry is about 500 words over the usual (which I doubt anyone will complain about), but it features a character first introduced in The Last Paladin 2. If you've read it and are wondering why her attitude is a little... different, well... This is another example of how Sorcerers are seen. :)
So without further ado, please enjoy this week's edition of Free Fiction Friday! Feedback appreciated.

Welcome to week number lucky thirteen of Free Fiction Friday!
I'm honestly starting to wonder if I'll ever finish this. It'll be over 20k for sure.

Addendum: Apparently this is my 100th entry! YAY!

Welcome to the 12th week of Free Fiction Friday!
This week's entry is about 550 words over the usual length, which I'm hoping no one will mind. A little bit of info for those of you who HAVE read Lightning Rod, you'll see something in this part that might confuse you a little, regarding James saying there can be one Ra'Keth at a time. I pretty much corrected the novel itself to line up with that before I sent it out to for submissions, but I forgot to update the main copy I gave to my friends. Sorry about that. :(
Also, please make sure to check out the other Free Fictioneers!
id_locke
amj_stygian (Coming Soon! In the meantime, check out his blog and his writing! :) )
Another author's working up his story to make it fit in a serial posting. It MIGHT start this week, but currently, he needs more time. If it goes up tomorrow, I'll update with info. :)
Also, if you're enjoying the piece, please don't hesitate to leave feedback (Even if it's just to say, "Nice chapter!"). It lets me know there's actually people reading this, and writers are known for needing a lot of positive reinforcement. ;)
Anyway, as always, if this is your first time here, just click on the "free fiction friday" tag to get caught up. Without further ado, please enjoy this week's edition of Free Fiction Friday!

So here we are at week 11 of Free Fiction Friday! It's also two 12:01am posts in a row, which I'm quite proud of. hopefully I'll be able to make next week's with plenty of time as well, as I start a full time job next week while waiting to hear back on a teaching job. I promise to bust my ass though to make the deadline, make no mistake about that.
I also want to take the time to give a shout out to my fellow Free Fictioneer,
id_locke who's doing Free Fiction Friday as well, so make sure to check out her stuff! I've also received word that a couple more writers will be joining the Free Fictioneer ranks within the next couple weeks, one being another talented author from Torquere Press, another a freelance writer who's a dear friend of mine who's done some work for White Wolf. As soon as I've confirmed that they're posting, I'll post links so you can check out their stuff! And obviously, if any writers out ther want to get into Free Fiction Friday, just let me know so I can post links! :)

I wanted to do a contest, but to be perfectly honest, I have no idea what kind of contest to do or what to give away. If you've got suggestions, leave them in the comment thread. :)
I want to thank everyone who's been following Free Fiction Friday... Free Fiction Friday Fans... The 4F Club! :) Well, run with that if it strikes your fancy.
In the meantime, please enjoy the next installment. And, of course, if this is your first time on FFF, click the "free fiction friday" tag to catch up on everything I've posted thus far. (I highly recommend it for this week's entry, in fact.) Without further ado...

Welcome to the 9th straight weekend of Free Fiction Friday! Next Friday will be the 10th week in a row I've managed to keep the streak alive, so I'll be doing a contest!!!
Only I have no idea what kind of contest to do, so feel free to leave contest suggestions and prize suggestions in the comments below.
Also, while you're in the voting mood, make sure to get your votes in for my next project! Just click on the "reader vote" tag and it should take you right to it! Also, feel free to buy some of my books while you're voting, I've got handy buy links on the left side of the LJ! (Hey, I've got student loans to pay, I'll shill as much as possible. ;) )
It's looking like "Dead In The Water" is going to tread into novelette territory next week as well, breaking the 10k barrier, so make sure to send thanks to , who won the contest to pick the topic.
If you're new to this blog, just click on the "Free Fiction Friday" tag and that should get you caught up on everything you've missed thus far. :)

Here we are with the newest installment of Free Fiction Friday!
This particular story was done at the request of , who won the recent trivia contest held at the conclusion of the last FFF story. :) This one stars G. James Black, and for continuity's sake, takes place after Lightning Rod and "Yellow Ledbetter", but before the sequel I have planned for Lightning Rod. Hopefully it SHOULD stand alone and be readable without requiring you to know anything about the novel, nor does it require a reading of "Yellow Ledbetter", though the latter is free to read here on the LJ.
Again, if you like it, please feel free to leave feedback, or hey, leave a tip! :)
Hope you enjoy it...

You read that right, you get a chance to win a free copy of my latest e-book, The Last Paladin 3: Devotion & Grace!
How? Just answer a few trivia questions!
The rules:
1. All questions will pertain to the story "The Line of the Hunt".
2. Answers will be left in the comments section (and will be invisible) until 11:59pm EST July 5th.
3. A winner will be selected randomly from participants who have all five questions correctly answered.
4. The winner of the contest will receive a copy of The Last Paladin 3: Devotion & Grace in PDF format, AND will be asked to give a writing prompt for the Free Fiction Fridays entry for July 10th. (So even if you have TLP 3, there's still a reason to enter!)

Well, here we are at the conclusion of Jasper Kane's first story! Please let me know if you enjoyed it in the comments section below. :)
Also, later today, once it's been up for a while, I'll be posting questions for a contest! All that's required is knowledge of the plot of The Line of the Hunt, and the prize not only a copy of The Last Paladin 3: Devotion & Grace, but you ALSO get to give me a writing prompt for next week's Free Fiction Friday, and which City character you'd like it to feature!
With the conclusion of The Line of the Hunt, I also have a commission slot open! Please e-mail at vaughndemont at yahoo dot com if you're interested. :)

So here we are at another installment of Free Fiction Fridays! As far as Jasper is concerned, the story is finished, and you'll be seeing the finale next week. As for what will come after that, I'm currently open to the idea of a writing prompt from the readers, so make sure to leave comments about what you'd like to see in the future, since I really want Free Fiction Fridays to continue as long as I can keep it going. If I can make it to 10 consecutive Fridays posted, we'll have a little contest for free stuff from me, and then again at 25 Fridays, 50, 75, but let's not get TOO far ahead of ourselves. :)
For the Lennox fans out there, The Last Paladin 3 comes out tomorrow, and I'll post a link as soon as it's available and I'm near a computer. Also, for those of you who are enjoying Free Fiction Fridays, if you want to leave a tip or something, there's a donate button on the journal's main page. Free Fiction Fridays is going to remain free, just leaving it out there. :)
Also, once Part 5 of The Line of the Hunt is posted, I'll have a commission slot open for anyone's who's interested. If you are, send an e-mail to vaughndemont at yahoo dot com. :)
But enough of that, on with the story!

I'll bet you thought I forgot about you guys. :)
Been super busy today, but I'm here with the next installment of Free Fiction Fridays! If you're just joining, either scroll down to read the previous entries, or click on the "free fiction friday" tag to see all FFF entries thus far!
On a minor update note, revisions and proofing edits are all finish on The Vampire Fred: Wicked Game, so it's definitely on schedule for its July release. The same goes for The Last Paladin 3: Devotion & Grace, which is on schedule to release on June 27th! I should be seeing a cover for Fred in the next couple weeks, so I'll show it to you guys when it's up. :)
Without further ado, though, here's the next part of the story. A tip? Review the last few paragraphs of the previous installment, as I couldn't end it in a good place to pick up.
